Leopoldina-Symposium in Algebraic and Arithmetic Algebraic Geometry
 May 10-15, 2009
Centro Stefano Franscini, Monte-Verità, Ascona, Switzerland

Program overview:
We shall have two talks in the morning and two talks in the afternoon. This leaves some time for individual work and contact which turned out to be very useful and inseminating as we have experienced. After dinner there will be time slots for one further talk or for short individual contributions which will be organized on a more adhoc basis for reports on upcoming work marking a break through. There will
also be a poster session for the younger participants. The symposium consists of a welcome-lecture and the following four workshops:
The André-Oort Conjecture
Serre's Modularity Conjecture
Periods
Hyperbolic and Arithmetic Geometry
